Small plate, big effect: This triangular backing plate made of A4 stainless steel distributes the pressure forces from stanchions, fittings, and bow pulpit mounts over a large area on the GRP or wooden deck – and thus permanently protects the surface from indentations and cracks. The compact triangular shape is ideal for tight corners and angled installation situations where rectangular plates no longer fit.
Tip: When installing on deck, apply a layer of sealant (e.g., polyurethane adhesive) between the plate and the substrate – this reliably keeps moisture and crevice corrosion away.
