Active corrosion protection starts at the anode: This Tecnoseal zinc anode is custom-made for Yamaha 25, 40, and 50 HP (4-stroke) outboards and replaces the original Yamaha anode 67C-45371-00. It sacrifices itself electrochemically – so your engine doesn't have to.

Tip: Replace the anode at the latest when it has corroded down to about 50% of its original mass. Magnesium anodes are recommended for freshwater use, while zinc is the right choice for saltwater.
