As a sacrificial anode, it draws electrolytic attack onto itself and protects the aluminum of your engine from unseen pitting. Precisely manufactured as a replacement for original part number 41106-ZW-000, it fits directly onto Honda outboards from 8 to 20 hp.

Tip: In fresh water, magnesium anodes offer even more protection potential. For salt and brackish water, however, zinc is the proven and recommended choice.
