When high, continuously acting loads are involved, you need a block that can withstand them – the Seldén PBB is built exactly for that. With plain bearings, reinforced steel cheeks, and an optimized sheave groove, it handles both wire rope and Dyneema equally well. Typical applications: backstay deflectors and other highly loaded standing points on the rigging.

Tip: For backstay deflectors, the load is almost static – the PBB's plain bearing is designed precisely for such continuous loads and is more maintenance-friendly than a ball bearing under standing load.
