When the mainsheet or spinnaker sheet is trimmed directly by hand without a winch, this Seldén ratchet block makes all the difference: The selectable ratchet mechanism holds the line under load, relieving your hands and giving you full control over the sail. With a 60 mm sheave diameter and ball bearings, it runs smoothly and precisely – even under high loads.
Tip: In light winds, simply switch off the ratchet function – this allows the sheet to run freely and the sheave rotates in both directions without resistance.
