To prevent anything from accidentally loosening: This M14 left-hand lock nut reliably secures terminals and turnbuckles in the rigging against self-loosening. It is precisely matched to the mirrored thread side of turnbuckles and terminals – a small component with great responsibility on board.
Tip: Before locking, carefully adjust the desired tension of the stay and then tighten the nut firmly against the terminal – ideally with the appropriate open-end wrench to avoid twisting the terminal itself.
