Osmosis blisters on a GRP hull are no cause for panic – if you repair them with the right system. Gelshield Plus from International Yacht Paints is a thick-film, solvent-free epoxy primer developed specifically for professional osmosis repair. Without harmful solvents that could penetrate the laminate, it lays the crucial protective film between the hull and the water.
Tip: Gelshield Plus must under no circumstances be thinned – this would destroy its solvent-free property and significantly reduce its protective effect. Work quickly and evenly to ensure a uniform film thickness.
